That's an IP address problem. Windows 98 is saying that your
computer's IP address is the same as another computer's IP address,
which isn't allowable.
The hardware address identifies the network adapter on the other
computer. To check a network adapter's hardware address, run
Winipcfg, select the network adapter, click More Info and look at the
Adapter Address that it reports. The first three number identify the
manufacturer of the network adapter. The numbers in your error
message belong to a 3Com network adapter.
