Win '98 client to 2K3 domain server

I have finally upgraded my client from an old Novell 5.x
box to a brand new 2K3 WAN domain pair with AD.
(read old and busted to new hotness)
Anyway, I have this issue with 3-4 Win 98 machines that I
am unable to get to log on the new domain or even map to
drives on the domain server in a LAN setup.
How can I get a '98 box to log on to a 2003 domain?

Have you verified connectivity? How's IP setup on the network?
