win 98 cd

Aftre finshing my network set up, i click ok and before
it asks me to restart it says"please insert windows 98
second edition cd rom" I no longer have this disc and my
other computers do not ask this. What is wrong?

It needs to copy some files to the system file. The files could already be
there but this is the setup script that it follows. If you do not have the
disc you can try to point it to the system folder to see if it can fine them
there. On some computer systems there is a window\options\cabs folder that
have the win98 cd files, you can try that also. But the networking changes
that you made will not finish till the windows loader object locates these
files.

If the other computers don't ask for the cd then maybe they have the
installation cabinet files on the hard disk. Search your hard disks
for *.cab
