trying to load Win XP network wizard on to a Win 98 machine. It keeps
failing with the error, "can't find network hardware. Install hardware and
load drivers then retry"

I have PCMCIA card on wind 98 machine already and the internet connection is
working fine. but I only get intermittent acess to the XP machine.

any ideas on why i cannot install wizard on 98 machine.

Gord

XP's Network Setup Wizard sometimes fails to find a working network
card on another computer. That's probably because of minor bugs in
the network card's driver program. Downloading and installing the
latest driver program might help.

In any case, it isn't necessary to run the Wizard. You can make the
network settings manually on Win 98.
