I initially had a problem connecting Win 98 clients to our SBS 2003. I can
now sign on to the server but am unable to get internet or email services to
run. In Outlook when I type in the exchange server name under the exchange
setup, I get a return message saying server not found. Under internet options
I type in the server and the port and I get the DNSerror message screen when
I try to go to a website. I have WINS server running.

I can go to a command prompt and ping the server name and it returns the
correct IP address.

The gateway, DNS, WINS IP address is correct when I check IPCONFIG using /ALL.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do you have the workgroup name the same as the domain name? Also do you have
the option checked to login to a domain?

Yes sir.

Under Clients for Microsoft Networks I checked "Logon to NT domain" and I
put the domain name in the space provided. Under Identification I put the
domain name in the space provided for Workgroup.

RESOLUTION:

There is a line in the registry (On the server) that has to be changed:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\system\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\LSA\nolmhash...

Value should be 0 instead of 1.
