Hello,

We have two Win 2K servers and ten Win 2K workstations. We bought two new
Win 2003 servers. Both Win 2003 servers can join Win2K domain.

We have
111.abc.com (Win 2K) Shared Folder 111
222.abc.com (Win 2K) Shared Folder 222
333.abc.com (Win 2003) Shared Folder 333
444.abc.com (Win 2003) Shared Folder 444

Login Domain Administrator
All ten workstations can read folder 111, 222, 333, and 444.
Server 111 and 222 can read folder 111, 222, 333, and 444.
But Server 333 and 444 only can read folder 222, 333, and 444.
When we click folder 111 then show the message
"Configuration information could not be read from the domain controller..."

Thanks

It would seem that there is something configured differently on the one W2K
computer that is causing a problem with the W2003 Servers. One thing to try
is to make sure that the security options in the Local Security Policy under
security settings/local policies/security options are configured the same
for the problem W2K computer as they are for the W2K computer that does not
show the problem. You could also export the Local Security Policy from the
one W2K computer and copy it to the problem W2K computer. Reboot the problem
W2K Server after a security policy configuration change. --- Steve
