win 2003 SP 1 performance enhancement?

Hi,

in an old document (or article anywhere, I don't remember where)
there is a note about the performance enhancement of the SP1 for windows
2003.

anyone can confirm this?

also, does the SP1 provide any enhancement for IIS?

I am unsure about any explicit performance enhancements promised for SP1.

Note: SP1 for Windows 2003 Server has not yet been released (it's current at
Release Candidate 1 stage), so do not install the RC onto a production
server.

Here is the latest Changes to Functionality in Microsoft Windows Server 2003
Service Pack 1document. It was recently updated (6 Dec 2004).

Just like Ken, i am not sure of any specific performance enahancements, but
the above URL would give lots of documents containing details changes to
functionality, including for developers. You may find performances related
information. Also performance may be obtained indirectly from streamlining
services and security and not having unneccessary services running. An e.g
when using the Server Configuration Wizard..
