Win 2000 upgrade to win 2003

We have a network with 2000 DCs with a mixture of 2003 and 2000 members in 3
sites. The PDC resides in NY , running Win 2000 in mixed mode. We would like
to replace the DCs(1 at each site) with new machines and upgrade to 2003
servers. Can this be done 1 at a time (meaning on seperate days) starting
with the PDC in NY? TIA

Hello Greg,

As you say, start with the FSMO roles holder and do it one buy one. After
every upgrade check with dcdiag, netdiag and replmon for errors. Also run
this tools BEFORE starting to fix existing errors. You should also think
about having at least in the main site 2 DC/DNS servers for redundancy.

Additional create a BACKUP BEFORE!!!
