Hi,

Fresh install of Win2k, nic card seen in device manager, driver seemed OK.
If I boot the pc with the network cable in it randomly freezes and sometimes
comes back around in a few seconds.
If I boot without it plugged in it works perfectly until I plug in then
instanly freezes.

The router is a 3com officeconnect and the nic is a admtek 983b all was well
under win98.

Whats the most likely cause of this?
Many thanks,
Rick

my first guess would be a DMA/IRQ conflicts. Try moving the PCI slo
the NIC is plugged into
