Hello,

I am researching why WiMax needs both MAC addresses, and CIDs.
Does anybody understand why this is? It really has me stumped.

So far all i have (and it could even be wrong), is that the MAC is
there to identify a device, and the CID is there to identify a
trasmission channel. Is there more too it than that? is the CID based
on the MAC? do you end up with heaps of CIDs everytime you use WiMax?
I just cant find much information on the topic at all, particularily
regarding the MAC.

Any Advise would be excellent.

thanks,

Seth
