Do any of the authorities here have any thoughts or musings on the new
trimode products ( a/b/g/) that are being promoted ?

I have a LinkSys a/b/g card which works
very well on both a/b/g. I could recommend
it without a problem.

<standard wi-fi speeds which become slower the further
away one is from the access-point." A" fastest,
but not many around, B slowest and everywhere,
G pretty fast and common. Can be anywhere from
1 Megabit to 50 Megabit depending on many
factors. Distance depends
on many factors such as location of access point
you connect to, antenna provisions on your laptop
card, obstructions etc. Generally about a max of
300 feet, but more or less depending on circumstances.
Generally the further away from the access point the
slower you connection speed.
