I assume that if I hook my XP/pro laptop up to to the internet via the
NIC, and plug a WiFi card into it I can share my internet connnection
with other laptop WiFi users.

Will I be able to set WEP, for a little security ?

What are the security issues for my laptop ? I run ZA, and i assume I
will get popups when I start ICS and will allow it to connect to the
intenet.

Who acts as DHCP server with an ICS setup ?

Anything else ?

I see no answers so far.

I would assume your talking wireles card to wireless card, that means Ad-Hoc.

You need to create a bridge.

There will not ba a DHCP server, you need to assign IP's.

No WEP, use a firewall.

You shouldnt get ZA popups becasue youll be behind the firewall.

Yes, you need to manually configure the DNS servers for your clients( in the client config). Use what your ISP offers.

Cheers

You should really buy a router and forget ICS.
