Hi,

Is there a version of FakeAP available for Windows?

Since its possible to simuilate 56,000 APs is it possible to simulate
56,000 client wifi connections to an AP?

What about repeated connect/disconnects, lags the AP?

How about broadcasting on all frequencies at once?

??

Is there an 802.11 Netmon Protocol Parser DLL anywhere?

Thanks

yes

allready been done (defcon 2003)

at once? off course, connect 11-14 USB cards

Pozdrawiam.

FakeAP works by repeatidly changing the settings and restarting, its not
really faking them simultaneously.

WPA has a DoS built in, send to unauth packets every 60 seconds and you lock
it out for 60 seconds.

as far as channels go, roll thru them repeadidly, how many clients can we
have per AP? one per channel? If so that would lock em out if you can roll
fast enuf thru them.

I saw an unmanaged API for 802.11 somewhere but I cant find the page. I was
going to wrap it to a managed C# class for some quick playing. Any ideas
where this API is (basically they wrapped the NDIS stuff I think)?

So to simulate the 56,000 clients, we just do the same as fakeAP, repeatidly
reconnect.

When I say fake client connetions, I want 56,000 computers to appear in the
network neighbourhood, or each one to get an IP allocated from the DHCP
server. Is this possible?

Average router has a max DHCP address range of 256 addresses, and is
normally limited to 20 to 50 out of that range by settings in the router.
After that number is allocated, errors and denials will start happening.
Will not see more than what range the router has allocated. Then it will
fail.

Ok, is it possible technically to create more than one up to the max number
of addresses with one computer and one wifi card?

Sure I could repeatidly reconnect like FakeAP does for different SSID
spamming. I want to have them connected simultaneously so they all appear in
the network neighbourhood list.

To detect FakeAPs just filter out the "non currently active" SSIDs from the
list as thats how FakeAP works, repeatid reconfig and restarting of the card
as an AP.

So, fakeAP doesnt work if you filter the non active from the list.
