WIFI Network Connection Problems

I receive my internet connection through a community WIFI service using a D
Link wireless adapter. I was able to setup a local network using a Realtek
Fast Ethernet NIC and a wireless access point. The local network operates
fine.

The problem that I have is that the wireless network connection to the
community WIFI will connect to the community server and obtain an IP address
but will not act as an internet connection for my local network unless I take
the following action.

1. I click on the internet connection icon to get the wireless connection
staus.
2. I click on properties and select wireless netorks
4. The prefered netowrks lists a single wireless netork (TEOA (Automatic))
the selection has a gray mask.
5. If I highlight this network (TEOA (Automatic)) and click OK the
connection will be reset and I will have an internet connection.

How do I configure the system to do this without the extra effort?

Thanks,

Under 'Networks to access' what setting have you selected? Have you
configured your machine to connect to any available network, infrastructure
only or ad hoc only?
