Ok I have a Linksys BEFSR41 I think it is version 2. I've got 3 pcs plugged
into. I also have a ACER TM505 with regular NICs I've used but am wanting to
go wireless on it. I've got one pcmcia slot and am wondering if the
following is a possible setup?
http://www.hawkingtech.com/prodSpec.php?ProdID=104

Would the access point just connect to the router via a Cat 5 cable and
somebody else said disable the AP DHCP and the router should take care of
the rest. Then just plug in the wi-fi card in the kit install the drivers
and i'm good to go?

Also does this mean its already encrypted?
"Wires Equivalent Privacy (WEP) -compliant data encryption using 64-/128-bit
encryption keys to protect all wireless data." or does this mean I can turn
it on and require more or less somebody to logon "The Wireless AP also has
Access Control feature allows you to control who can grant the access right
in your WLAN. "

thanks for your help
