When i access the server via IP address or Fully qualified name i see all of
the shares fine. But....when i go to \\servername there are no folders
there.

Only 1 computer out of 50 is doing this

wierd ey...

I've tried the hosts and lmhosts files
tried disjoining and rejoining the domain
tried changing netbios settings and local dns servers
even tried doing a system restore

and get this...

after the system resore it worked fine the first time, but then freaked out
again and is back to the same problem.

Thanks in advance for any info you may be able to offer in figuring out this
wierd network thing.

Jamie

sounds like name resolution issue. check the DNS settings. if you use domain
network with win98, you may also check the WINS settings.
