(sorry for my bad english)

I have:

- a fixed computer with Windows XP/ICS and ADSL Internet connection;
- a notebook with Centrino technology (integrated wi-fi).

The two computers are separated from 70 meters and 3 walls.

What wi-fi products do I have to buy to connect them optimally at this
distance without spending too much?

Thanks
Claudia

3 walls and 70 meters in a apparment is hard!!!

if it will work, only with 10 dBi antennas or with repeaters!

Yep,

So make sure that the accesspoint has (at least one) detachable antenna(s).

Hard wire it or you will be disappointed.

Thanks for the suggestion. I didn't think about this!

How much is too much?
I recommend an antenna like this on the base:

and an external antenna on the laptop. The USB units are great because you
can position them for a good signal. A lot depends on what the 3 walls are
made of. If you are in Italy most likely they are stone, so aim for windows.

What Bob is suggesting is because of the 70 metres and 3 walls, do not use wi-fi (so no
antennas/amplifiers are needed) but connect the 2 PCs together with Cat 5 cable.

This will be the most cost effective and technically superior option.
