I'm a first time broadband subscriber with Pipex 1Mb service having
previously been with ntl:freedom indirect dial up.

Very impressed with Pipex service so far and the speed is phenomenal
but why oh why does it take 20 to 30 seconds to display a newsgroup
posting once selected?

This is the only blemish on an otherwise excellent product......

Depending on what type of groups you want to access, you may find
www.individual.de better for non-binary groups - i`ve been using them for
a couple of years now (formerly known as news.cis.dfn.de)

Please add "[newsgroup]" in the subject of any personal replies via email

Agreed, they are excellent. Even if you still require access to Binaries, it's still
worth using news.individual.net for non-binaries. Registration is required, but
is free.

Any idea when?, as this is my gripe with pipex too!, can't see why I'm
paying for a service, but have to rely on news.cis.dfn.de for news group
access.

Jon

Soon?

How long does it take to organise? Once they've decided to do it, they should
go ahead and do it. It's hardly rocket science. I'm sure they can get new
server hardware delivered within a few days (probably within a few hours).

Next week was what I read in pipex.xtreme.support, apparently they are
under record load at the moment.

Andy.

To be expected, since the new Matrix film has probably just reached the
warez groups.
