why my adapter can not get data?

i have a intel network adapter(pro 100 s),i make a driver in radhat
linux(2.2.19) for my PowerPC.
and ,i can "insmod e100.o",i also can "ifconfig eth2 192.1.2.3",(eth2
is my adapter),and can "ping 192.1.2.3" too .BUT,I CANNOT get
any data from network.
e.g. i run "ping 192.1.2.4",but can not receive anything.
help my ,why?
and what shall i do ????
