initial test on your line indicates that you shoould be able to have an ADSL

2 computers.

Go with as much as you can afford but when choosing isp be aware that some of
them have a download limit per month. I cannot myself list those that do not
have a limit, but I think PlusNet is one, which is quite a popular isp and very
well thought of amongst many in this group.

2 or 20 you could start with 500 kbps - depends what you are doing as to
whether you'll notice (oh, and hopefully you'll be using a router :-)

True, and reasonable news service too, but there may be other services which
would be fine, too, and perhaps cheaper than Plus.Net (eg Metronet.co.uk at
1000 kbps or Freedom 2 Surf which has free setup on some accounts). PGM.

PlusNet <http://tinyurl.com/24ymz> - I recommend them and save some cash.

I narrowed it down to Zen, plusnet and nildram. Nildram seemed pricey and
in the end although I think all three are good I went with plusnet. Partly
due to the positive feedback they seem to get on this NG and there customer
service which seems fine so far.
