....free connection and/or modem AND no minimum subscription period? I guess
none, as they have to recoup the 'offers'?

TIA,
Harold

Virgin offer a one month minimum contract period and free connection.

They will also offer to sell you a modem but you can buy one cheaper from
elsewhere.

I thought £24.99 was pretty good for a speedtouch where can we get cheaper
than that?

£24.99 is quite good - until recently they were changing somewhere in
between £50-80 for the modem hence my comments.

It is also possible to buy an ethernet router from somewhere like ebuyer for
about £35 which you may be interested in for the greater flexability it
allows you compared to a USB modem

Regards
Sunil

It's a connexant chipset based one that is badged with Ebuyers own name.

They have two variants - one is a single port ethernet router and the
other intergrates a 4 port switch as well as the modem/router.
