Eclipse are supposed to have very low pings

Makes very little difference in UK to be honest. 4 or 5ms difference between
most DSL providers as many use the BT backbone and most end up in Telehouse
in London anyway, before following a pretty much common path to the sink
location.

dont think changing from pipex will make any difference. you may get a slightly
better ping to UK servers, but US servers (like nova) will still be just as
slow.

Nildram or Jolt (closely related) are the choice for a lot of gamers,
including me :-)

Out of interest what sort of latency do you get - in game & if you ping
www.bbc.co.uk?

I've only just got dsl so haven't had much time to test in game yet. What
little I have seems good on pipex to demon HL & various DoD - ie stable &
as low if not lower than other players.

I guess modems/routers will add different amounts before you get anywhere.

Andy.

The BBC are pretty consistant for me - but then I can rarely get on my PC
at peak times.

As for a game server - my fav HL DM servers live at
bravo.games.uk.demon.net .

Andy.
