I want to plug in cables to an 802.11a Access Point.

I do not want to break the chassis or solder anything, 1dB is bad
enough with my EE skill I will lose 10.

TIA,
Neil

What are you trying to do? If you want an antenna on a 802.11a device fine,
but that is illegal to use outdoors. 11a is not 5.8ghz. Please give some
more details, as I have done quite a bit with 5ghz stuff outdoors with a
variety of antennas.
