Whats the score?

Base computer WinXP, Laptop Win98SE.

Both using wireless link ie WinXP with PCI card, Laptop using PCMCIA card.

I have link up to the router on both,however when I view the router settings
the Laptops IP address is nowwhere to be seen yet the PCMCIA's program says
it connected to the access point(router?)

I can ping the Lappy and ViceVersa but I cannot make both talk to each other
via windows,dont get me wrong I have had them talking to each other a while
ago but had problems with lappys power supply and when I replaced it this no
talk to each other cropped up.

Any advice please?
