A key to Windows networking is to use the same, single protocol on
all of the computers. Unless there's a good reason to use a different
protocol, use TCP/IP.
Install Client for Microsoft Networks to enable a computer to see
other computers. Install File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft
Networks to enable other computers see your computer.
The initial display when you open Network Neighborhood shows computers
in the same workgroup as the computer that you're using. To see other
workgroups on the network, double click Entire Network. To see the
computers in another workgroup, double click that workgroup.
