............get rid of the long cable connecting my 4 port ADSL Modem
Router to the phone socket?

I have a small wired network consisting of 2 Pcs and a laptop. As I
never move any of the kit away from the room I'm happy to keep
everything wired I just need to lose the cable that runs between my
office and the phone socket.

I'm thinking I can connect the 3 computers to an Ethernet-to-Wirless
bridge on my office and then have an Wireless ADSL Modem Router next
top the phone socket.
Would this work?
Do I need to get 2 access points as well?
Would it be chepaer/easier to get a wireless a adapter for each device
and forget about the Ethernet-to-wireless bridge?

I have tried to reasearch this but in each scenario I see doesnt seem
to fit my requirements.

Thx.

Stick it behind the skirting board/in the ceiling/under the floor/
through the wall and around the outside.

Yep, that's what I'd do.
If you wanted to do it wirelessly the easiest solution would be to use
an access point and a wireless modem\router.
