WGT624 netgear router,which channel works for super G

I have the WGT624 Wireless router and can not get it to run at 108,
only 54. I have tried several chanels inclueding 11 and no luck. I
have a super G USB in the desktop and it should work, but when looking
for the network only sees the router after I allow it 54 speed.
