Which is more secure when using WEP, Open or Shared Key?
I don't want to get into the whole WPA and WPA-PSK is better, I know they
are but I am asking about WEP.

Thanks
Jim

Open authentication is considered more secure because in shared key
the ap sends open text to the client. The client encrypts it with the
key and sends it back. So a hacker could take the initial text and the
encrypted text and determine your key then use it yo unencrypt your
data.
