WEP: MN-510 USB Adapter and Linksys Access Pt Router

Both devices can talk to each other fine with WEP
disabled. Once WEP is enable, MS-510 USB adapter alwasy
response with invalid WEP.

I tried 64 bit (8 char (a-f, 0-9)) and 128 (26 char),
tried different channel 1, 6, 11, different ssid names,
change the frag. threshold to 2304. All failed.

MS-510 USB is connected to a host running Windows 98 SE
with all the updates from MS.

any suggestion, comment?

Make sure the LinkSys is expecting an hexadecimal number -
- although I'm unfamiliar with LinkSys some routers
require a $ signal to indicate an hexadecimal entry.
