When changing the WEP key, is there an easy way to copy the new key to
other computers connected to the network?

We were a little more protective of our keys.
One piece went via email, one by fax, one by phone, to some live body at
the other end who would key it in. That isn't particularly what the poster
was asking, though. I think he wants to propgate them painlessly.

You send it out in advance, with the date & time the new key will be
effective.

It's called planning. I know... it's a lost art in today's corporate world.

You give it them BEFOREHAND!

Seriously, this is an age old classic problem of key distribution
requiring a secure method.

It's not easy, go read a book called "The Code Book" for example to
learn about cryptography through the ages, a very engaging book I might
add.

Use the WEP enabled network to distribute the new key. Then change the keys.

Stick around, much to learn!

Give it a day or two and we'll have the "I've heard WEP is insecure"
discussion again, or do we do that one on a Thursday I can't remember...
