WEP and No IP Traffic

Hello;

I have a Linksys WPC54G wireless card in my laptop. With some routers,
I get no IP connectivity when WEP (of any flavor) is enabled on the
router. I get good signal strength and quality but nothing on layer 3.

This varies from router to router. That is, some routers everything
works, some it does not. While I am not sure about this, I think that
it has always worked with Linksys routers and all the failures have
been on other brands (Netgear, 2Wire, Apple, etc.).

Any thoughts about what is going on or how to correct it? (Linksys
Tech Support was unable to solve the problem).

Thanks and Happy New Year.
