When in a hotel often the Wi-Fi is in the main lounge /reception areas and
weak in the bedrooms is there a unit can be plugged into a laptop to boost
it?

Ethernet cable? (I've yet to find a hotel where there isn't a cabled
fall-back in the rooms.)

Usually use a Britannia Hotel and not had a connection as you have found in
yours.
Possibly I'm using holiday / recreational hotels and you using a more
business based hotel.
Actually I do carry in laptop bag an Ethernet cable so if I do get such a
room I will be ok.
At the hotels I use the Wi-Fi is at no extra charge, does your better
service hotels charge?

David

Ah, yes. That could make a difference. As a family we tend to frequent
YHAs. On business I use business hotels (ugh).
