web site found.waitinf for reply

One PC in my network is play silly buggers.
I can access newsgroups, msn messenger, email, skype etc. but I can't do
anything with my browser.

Using IE or Firefox it's ok for a couple of minutes then I get "Web site
found. Waiting for reply..." in IE or "Waiting for www.etc" in Firefox"

Other 2 PC's in the network are fine.

Can't even get to my Netgear 824GM via 192.168.0.1 - starts to load the
page and then gives up the ghost.

Has been this way since Friday. Sometimes it works for 10 mins.

Any ideas?

When was the last time you ran your AV program?
Sounds like a Browser Hijacker.
