I am very interested in acquiring an iMate JasJar. Unfortunately,
however, I can't get Bell Canada's technical people to assure me that
this WCDMA (UMTS)-capable device will work with their CDMA 1x network.
I infer from various announcements I have Googled that that would be
the case but I want to remain with Bell since I left the other major
Canadian service provider (using GSM and thus clearly compatible with
the JasJar) a very unhappy customer a couple of years ago.

Does anyone know for sure whether a WCDMA (UMTS)-capable device will
work with the Bell Canada network?
