watching server web activity

Just one moe question to this very helpful NG.

Now my client PC is netrorked directly to my server pc and sharing a
broadband connection, how do I monitor from the client what is being
accessed bty the person on the server - ie how do I check from one room if
my kids are looking at inapproprite sites on the main computer?

If you just want to watch the desktop you can install something like
TightVNC, if you want a log of web access you could install a proxy that
has logging a option. How computer literate are your kids?

If you're monitoring it after the event then it's too late, you can't erase
the images from their minds. IMHO there should be some restrictive software
to protect them if you're not there when they're browsing.
