Watchguar VPN user validation

When a user uses VPN and tries to connect a network drive the computer asks
for username and password. When the user provides the username and passwoord
witch is the same as the one used when logging on the local pc, the computer
replyes that username is already tried once and dit not work

1. The credentials used to establish the connection have absolutely nothing
to do with subsequent access on the network,...They simply create the
connection,..nothing more.

2. To access resources on the LAN the username must be prefixed with either
the Domain name or the machinename of the target computer,...it just depends
on if you are using a domain account or a local account.

I have solved the problem:

We used netdiag and there where an error in WINS that error was corrected
and the everything worked
