I have an HP Pavilion laptop running on Win98Se.

I am trying to set up a linksys wireless network at home.

When trying to install the wireless adapter (linksys
#WPC54G) software, I am getting a message after
installation telling me that the WASPstartup was not
installed.

I was referred by the firm's tech staff to the microsoft
site, but I do not know where to look or what to look for.

Any help will be most welcomed.

Are you sure it isn't WSASTARTUP? If it is that would indicate a problem
with the TCP/IP networking.
