I'm using a Linksys WAP54G access point on my network. I use it to cover a parking lot area with an outside omni antenna. I wanted to cover some offices inside, so I added another identical access point. I am using WEP on both APs and the settings are identical other than the IPs. I can get no signal from the new point. I even exchanged it or another. Any suggestions?

Linksys recommends setting the channel numbers to be the same. Everyone else recommends making them different. The SSIDs and everything should be the same except for the IP address. Without going into an explanation, try setting using channels 1, 6, or 11. The reason is that these do not overlap. Make each access point use a different channel. I have two WAP54Gs in my home and this is how I have them setup. Roaming works great.
