Hi all,
I have a router with wireless networking functionality, but need to
purchase a WAP because my LAN is now on two segments for various
reasons, the router being in another segment than the wireless
clients, which renders the wireless portion of the router void.
I have seen grate price ranges in these devices, I have seen them as
low as £20 and up to as much really as you want to pay. I want
802.11G, and baring in mind it isn't connecting directly to the
Internet, and I have a good firewall already, do I really need another
one?
I guess what I am asking is is there any way to distinguish between
"Broadband wireless router" and "Wireless Access point"?
Andrew.
