First of, you mean WPA not WAP. WAP is Wireless Access Point, WPA is
Wi-fi Protected Access...
Yes, you need the WPA patch for XP. Once that's installed, you can
configure WPA, right-click the connection you're using for wireless in
the "Network and Dialup connections" window (right-click My Network
Places" to get that window up) and select properties. There should be a
new "wireless" tab on properties page.
