I have been trying to resolve an AOL v8 issue. I get the
following error upon logging off of an on-line AOL
session.

waol has caused an error in Kernel32.dll

AOL and Dell indicated this is caused by a virus (lots of
unknown programs in the task list). Symantec says I have
no virus, the programs seen in the task list are program
running to support installed aps. Symantec said there was
also a known resolution to this issue in the MS
KnowledgeBase. I could not find it.

Any help you can provide on the AOL install or list of
programs in the task list is appreciated.

This behavior can occur if your computer is infected by a variation of the
W32/KRIZ virus. Variations of the W32/KRIZ virus include the W32/KRIZ.3862
and W32/KRIZ.4092 variations.
