Two things pop into mind.

First of all, there is NoCatAuth, which is a captive portal. Not
necessarily what you want (though I've never used it/seen it myself),
but worth looking into.

The second would be D-Link's hotspot router and ticket printer.

I want to give my customers 20 minutes or so free access to a hotspot
immediately after a $3 purchase (maybe more, or less)

I thought I'd give a code on the reciept that would serve as a
password... so somekind of interface to a Point of Sale System would
be required.

Anyone know of something like this? Software that links a POS with
Hotspot management would sell well, I believe.

All the hotspots I know are freebies that work if you're nearby. This
won't work in my case, because the transient and cheap nature of my
walk-by population.

thanks,
paul

You can use our software product FirstSpot (
http://patronsoft.com/firstspot ).

The user session log is in a ODBC table, so it should be quite easy to
export to a printer.
