This is what I want to do

I want to share my broad band connection with another
computer. It doesn't matter to me if they see each
other. I have visited practically networked and carey
holzman's sight and cannot find what I am looking for. I
only have one NIC in each PC. One computer is hooked up
to the router, the router is hooked up to the cable modem
and the internet connection is great. The other computer
is connected to the rounter and it does not have a
connection. The NIC is working properly, and I have gone
through the 13 steps on Carey's sight and still do not
have a connection on that computer. Is there any way to
do this?
Thanks-
Alyssa

I think I know what your problem is, but I have no
gaurantees. I do believe that you cannot share an
internet connection with multiple computers with just a
router. I think you have to have a switch or hub in
conjunction with your router, but I am not 100% on that so
correct me if I'm wrong. Otherwise practically networked
really does have what you looking for and I think it is
here:

m

If it isn't there than just look around on their site
there isn't much about this subject they haven't covered.

Most routers have a built-in switch. You can connect a computer to
each of the router's LAN ports -- typically, there are 4 or 5.
