We are looking to upgrade to Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition. We
currently have 3 offices, all in different states. In the corporate
office we are running on NT server. The other 2 offices have P2P
networks and they connect to the corporate office through our VPN
connection. We have 2 NT Server licenses for the remaining 2 offices.
We would like the remaining 2 offices to have something to
authenticate and store files to and then occasionally connect to our
corporate office through our VPN and transfer files back and forth.
With the remaining licenses can we make those servers BDC's and have
those BDC's always connected to our corporate office? How would you
go about doing something like this?

Not sure on the licensing. But yes you can create the 2
backup DC's and have them always connected using site to
site vpn. You can check my thread right above yours on
site to site routing through vpn for how this can be done.

If you have more questions let me know.
Cheers!
