Hi all,

I have small LAN. One of the PC's, a Win98SE, works as printerserver,
intranetserver, telnet and ftp-server. My main Win2k workstation is
connected to this LAN and to the internet by ISDN dialin.
I am about to install an ADSL connection. In stead of connecting this to my
workstation, I'd like to connect this to the Win98 PC. So it should function
as a router and proxy server.
Where can I find information as how to do this and what are good
applications (if possible free- or shareware)?

Thanks in advance.

With best regards,

Fokke Nauta

Windows 98 Second Edition includes Internet Connection Sharing, which will
allow the sharing of an Internet connection among several computers. Look
in the Windows 98 help file for starters and post back here if you need more
help.

Excellent! I am just looking in the Win 98 help files. Thanks.
And ICS is all I need, I guess?

ICS is all the software you need. If your modem connects via a serial or
USB port you need no other hardware, but if it connects via a network card
in your PC then you'll need to add a second network card so you can use the
modem and the network at the same time.

That's all very clear. Shouldn't be a problem.
Thanks.
