W98 not seeing network shares

I trying to make a shortcut to a network share on a file server from a W98
pc and I can't see it. WXP pc's see the share OK, could it be due to the
fact that the share is two words not one? The W98 pc sees other one word
shares OK. All shares have identical permissions.
