Hi Mostro,
Thank you for posting!
I wonder if you have read the below article in Microsoft knowledge base,
which describes the steps to configure the authoritative Time Server in
Windows 2000 domain.
216734 How to Configure an Authoritative Time Server in Windows 2000
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=216734
To synchronize the time on the member server with the time server, you may
follow the below steps:
1. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, and then click
Command Prompt.
2. Type "w32tm /resync" (without the quotation marks), and then press ENTER.
I hope that it is helpful.
Have a nice day!
Thanks & Regards,
Feng Mao [MSFT], MCSE

| I have found articles that explain setting up an authoritative time
server -
| this I understand, but some things are not clear.
|
| My network (all one domain) has lets say 10 windows server 2000 domain
| controllers, some locally and some not local and even in different time
| zones.
|
| The server I have designated as the time server is here with me. I
| basically just set it to have an outside sntp server, and all other
servers
| use it as their time server.
|
| Thing is, when a I do "net time /set" on the servers (except for on the
time
| server itsel) they get their time from different servers and not from
that
| specific server that I set as their time server.
|
| What is it that I am not understanding????
