W2K8: socket connect blocks when there is no listener

Hello,

we have a problem with W2K8:

When trying to connect to a TCP-port without a process listening on that
TCP-port, the connection is not reject but the connect call blocks and
no timeout occurs.

The problem occurs with any such connect call originating from the W2K8
server, even to remote destinations (again without listening process).

Is there a way to restore the "normal" behaviour of rejecting
connections to TCP-ports without listeners or letting connect run into a
timeout?

Thanks,
Daniel
