w2k sp4 update(from SP3)

I have tested the sp4( from sp3) update on my home test network. No
problems. But, does the update change any default settings or any
permissions or shares already in place? Small DC 10 clients.

Nope.

To be on the safe side, you should always do a full backup before applying
an SP or so forth...

First, I'm surprised you haven't had this in place, it's been out
forever and has some definite security advantages. It shouldn't
change any current settings, but new settings may behave differently
than you expected on any SP. It's been tested so now it's time you
put it into production.
