W2K Slow locating and appying settings after login to W2k3 server

I am having a problem when my w2k workstations login to
the new W2k3 server. This is a brand new domain I just
setup. The XP workstations seem to not have as long of a
delay as the w2k systems. I need to get this new server
implemented, but can not due to the 2+ minute login
process. Anyhelp is greatly appreciated
